About General Finance Tools
Not every money question fits a bank's product brochure. This section collects the cross-border and structural tools that don't belong under loans, tax, or savings: the IBAN calculator that builds and validates Pakistan's 24-character international bank account numbers with the official mod-97 check digits, so your wire transfers don't bounce; the Payoneer fee calculator for the freelancers who bring Pakistan's IT export earnings home — accounting for Payoneer's 2% transfer fee plus the exchange-rate spread, and the $29.95 annual fee that kicks in below $2,000 in yearly volume; and the CSD calculator, the quick-check tool for salary and service-structure computations.
They look like a mixed bag, but they share a user: the Pakistani who works across borders — freelancers receiving dollars, families receiving remittances, and professionals double-checking a bank number before a deadline. In each case the cost of a wrong number is real: a failed transfer, an overpaid fee, a rejected form. These calculators give you the right number in one step.
FAQ
What is an IBAN and why does Pakistan use it?
The International Bank Account Number (PK followed by 22 digits, 24 characters total) is the standard Pakistan adopted for electronic transfers under State Bank of Pakistan rules. The check digits catch typos before money moves.
Why does my Payoneer withdrawal arrive as less than expected?
Payoneer takes about 2% on the transfer, then converts at its own rate (usually a few percent below the interbank/market rate), and accounts under $2,000 a year pay $29.95 annually. The calculator shows all three cuts separately.
Who is the CSD calculator for?
Anyone checking a salary or service-structure figure — it complements the pension and salary-advance tools in the Savings section.
Are these free too?
Yes — like everything on the site: free, no sign-up, works on any phone.
