Jazz Load Tax Calculator

Rs 100 ka load kiya aur Rs 85 mile? That’s the telecom withholding tax every prepaid user in Pakistan pays: when you recharge, the mobile companies deduct advance income tax at source and credit you the balance. Our free Jazz load tax calculator shows exactly how much reaches your SIM for any load amount — and how much went to FBR.

How It Works

Tax deducted = 15% of the load amount. Balance received = load × 0.85 (Rs 100 load → Rs 85 balance).

Load (Rs) Tax (15%) Balance received
100 15.00 ~85.00
200 30.00 ~170.00
500 75.00 ~425.00
1,000 150.00 ~850.00

This withholding applies to Jazz/Warid, Telenor, Zong, and Ufone alike — the rate is uniform across all Pakistani mobile operators under the Income Tax Ordinance.

How to Use

  1. Enter your load amount in rupees.
  2. Click Calculate — the deducted tax and the balance that lands on your SIM appear.
  3. Compare with what your carrier actually credited; any difference beyond this tax is worth querying with customer care.

Notes

  • This is advance income tax, not a final tax — filers can claim credit/adjustment against their annual liability; non-filers can’t.
  • The old era of ~24% combined deductions is gone — the current structure is a single 15% withholding.
  • Postpaid users pay differently (tax applied on bills), but this calculator covers prepaid loads and easy-load.

FAQs

Why does Jazz deduct tax on my load?

Mobile companies are withholding agents for FBR. They deduct advance income tax from every prepaid recharge and remit it — you see the net balance.

Is the same tax on Telenor, Zong, and Ufone?

Yes — 15% is uniform across all four operators in Pakistan.

Can I get this tax back?

If you’re a filer, it’s adjustable against your income tax for the year — keep records. Non-filers effectively pay it as a final charge.

Load 100 par 85 hi kyun milta hai?

Because the 15% tax is deducted first: balance received = 100 − 15 = Rs 85. The tool uses this exact arithmetic.

Is there tax on hybrid/postpaid?

Postpaid bills carry withholding too, computed on the billed amount rather than a recharge. Prepaid load tax is the most visible one.
