KPK Pension Calculator
Estimate your gross pension, gratuity lump sum and net monthly pension as a Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government employee.
Uses the standard formula used in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: gross = (emoluments x service capped at 30 years x 7) / 300. Gratuity = commuted monthly amount x 12 x commutation factor. Simplified estimator - medical and ad hoc allowances are excluded. Verify your figures with the Accountant General Khyber Pakhtunkhwa or your district accounts office.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s government — provincial departments, the contributory-pension generation after the KPK Civil Servants (Amendment) Act 2022 — actually runs two systems: the classical defined-benefit pension for older joiners, and the Contributory Pension Fund (CP Fund) for employees appointed after June 2022. This calculator covers the classical formula: gross pension = last emoluments × min(service, 30) × 7 ÷ 300 (70% of last pay at 30 years), commutation up to 35%, and KPK’s own budget announcements for increases and floors.
The Formula
Gross monthly pension = Last monthly emoluments × min(qualifying service years, 30) × 7 ÷ 300
- 30 years → 70% of last emoluments; below 10 years → gratuity rules instead
- Commutation up to 35%, lump sum per the age-based factor (e.g. 14.0)
- Net pension = gross − commuted portion, with KPK budget increases applied
How to Use
- Enter last monthly emoluments and qualifying service.
- Choose commutation (0–35%).
- Click Calculate — gross pension, lump sum, net monthly.
Notes
- Post-2022 appointees fall under the CPF (contributory) system — pension there depends on contributions + returns, not this formula. Check your appointment date.
- Family pension, minimum pension floors, and increases follow KPK Finance Department notifications.
- AG KPK processes pension papers — keep your service book and last pay certificate in order.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the KPK contributory pension?
For employees appointed after 7 June 2022: a defined-contribution fund (employee + government shares) — the monthly benefit depends on the accumulated fund, not the 7/300 formula.
Does KPK use the same 70% formula?
For classical pensioners, yes — 70% of last emoluments at 30 years’ qualifying service, commutation up to 35%.
When does KPK announce pension increases?
With the provincial budget (June) — increases apply per the Finance Department’s notifications.
