Punjab Pension Calculator

Estimate your gross pension, gratuity lump sum and net monthly pension as a Punjab government employee.

Gross monthly pension-
Commuted portion (monthly given up)-
Gratuity lump sum-
Net monthly pension-

Uses the standard formula used in Punjab: gross = (emoluments x service capped at 30 years x 7) / 300. Gratuity = commuted monthly amount x 12 x commutation factor. Simplified estimator - medical and ad hoc allowances are excluded. Verify your figures with the Accountant General Punjab or your district accounts office.

Punjab’s civil servants — teachers, health staff, police, district administration — retire under the Punjab Civil Servants Act 1974 and the commutation table issued by the provincial Finance Department. The math matches the standard federal-style formula (last emoluments × qualifying service × 7/300, 70% cap, up to 35% commutation), but Punjab issues its own budget increases, minimum pension floors, and family-pension rules. Our free Punjab pension calculator computes your gross pension, commuted lump sum, and net monthly pension under the Punjab framework.

The Formula

Gross monthly pension = Last monthly emoluments × min(qualifying service, 30) × 7 ÷ 300

  • 30 years = 70% of last pay (maximum); each year under 30 costs 7/300
  • Commutation up to 35% via the age-next-birthday table factor (e.g. 14.0 around standard retirement ages)
  • Punjab’s own pension increases (announced in the provincial budget) apply on the net pension

How to Use

  1. Enter last drawn monthly emoluments and qualifying service.
  2. Choose commutation 0–35%.
  3. Click Calculate — gross, lump sum, and net monthly pension shown.

Notes

  • Punjab-specific: minimum pension floors and family-pension percentages follow Punjab Finance Department notifications — the tool computes the core; budget increases layer on top.
  • AG Punjab (Accountant General Punjab) finalises papers — your service record and last pay certificate must be correct before retirement paperwork starts.
  • Retirement age: generally 60 (with 25+25 rules and provincial variations by service).

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Punjab pension different from federal pension?

The core formula is the same; increases, minimums, and administrative rules come from the Punjab budget and Punjab Finance Department — not Islamabad.

What is family pension in Punjab?

Survivors (widow/widower, then children) draw family pension per Punjab’s rules — percentages and conditions are notified by the Finance Department.

When does commutation restore?

After the period derived from the commutation factor (commonly around 12–15 years), per the table — then the full pension resumes.
