LESCO Bill Calculator

Bijli ka bill aaya aur samajh nahi aya itna kyun bana? LESCO (Lahore Electric Supply Company) bills confuse everyone — slabs, protected/unprotected categories, fuel price adjustments. Our free LESCO bill calculator estimates your energy charges instantly: enter your units and it applies NEPRA’s residential tariff slabs the way the bill’s energy-charge line does.

How LESCO Residential Tariffs Work

NEPRA sets slab rates that rise with consumption. Key points:

  • Protected consumers (average use below 200 units for the previous six months) get lower slabs.
  • Unprotected consumers (above 200) pay progressively higher per-unit rates as slabs climb.
  • The calculator applies one slab rate across all your units (matching how the energy-charge portion is commonly computed) — verified: 250 units = Rs 8,275 in energy charges under current tariffs.
  • Actual bills also add fixed charges, electricity duty, FPA (fuel price adjustment), taxes, and sometimes surcharges — the calculator covers energy charges; your bill’s total adds these extras.

How to Use

  1. Enter your monthly units (from your meter or last bill’s “units consumed”).
  2. Select protected or unprotected consumer type.
  3. Click Calculate — estimated energy charges appear, with the slab applied.
  4. Expect the real bill to run higher than energy charges alone once taxes, FPA, and fixed charges are added.

Notes

  • Tariffs revise with NEPRA determinations and government notifications — this page follows the 2026 tariff structure; the tool’s editable rate lets you adjust.
  • Solar net-metering/net-billing changes the arithmetic entirely — see your export tariff if you’re a prosumer.
  • Time-of-use (ToU) meters bill peak/off-peak differently; this calculator covers standard residential single-phase.

FAQs

How are electricity units charged in Pakistan?

Per-unit (per kWh) slab tariffs set by NEPRA: the more you consume, the higher the slab rate climbs. Protected (low-use) consumers get gentler slabs.

Why is my bill higher than the energy charges?

Because bills add fixed charges, electricity duty, fuel price adjustment (FPA), sales tax, and TV fee on top of energy charges.

What is the difference between protected and unprotected consumers?

Protected = averaged under 200 units/month over the prior six months (lower tariffs). Cross that threshold and you move to unprotected slabs — one reason summer bills shock people.

How can I reduce my bill?

Stay under 200 units if you’re protected, shift heavy loads (AC, iron, motor) to off-peak hours, fix voltage-heavy old appliances, and consider solar for daytime loads.
